My Fall Skincare/Hair Care Routine!

It’s shaping up to be a a very busy week ahead, following what was already a very, very busy weekend (which I’ll talk about in a couple of days since I still have a lot of photos to go through!) The election is Tuesday, as is Troy’s birthday – and he’s in town to try to celebrate amid the political chaos and to take care of some family stuff that came up unexpectedly. I have to head to Boston on Thursday night for a Bruins game I recently won tickets to – and I’m still working in excess of my usual hours at my office in preparation for some time off I have lined up next week so I can get a head start on the holiday season!

But before I dive into all of that, I wanted to take some time to share the new additions to my skin care/hair care routine for the current Fall season in what has been an ongoing series of posts throughout the year. I’ll include some photos and links for more information – and below I’ve linked to past installments over the years of ‘Coffee & Chiffon‘ for anyone who may want to see some products I’ve loved/used religiously depending on my complexion and curl needs at the time!

2020: [ WINTER ] [ SPRING ] [ SUMMER ] [ FALL ]

2021: [ WINTER ] [ SPRING ] [ SUMMER ] [ FALL ]

2022: [ WINTER ] [ SPRING ] [ SUMMER ] [ FALL ]

2023: [ WINTER ] [ SPRING ] [ SUMMER ] [ FALL ]

2024: [ WINTER ] [ SPRING ] [ SUMMER ]

I’m going to be condensing all of those down in early 2025. I promise!

For my skincare this season, I have been feverishly turning to products that are gentle and will provide me with substantial hydration and comfort on the drier, chillier days. We’re experiencing a severe drought here in New England (resulting in quite a few nearby brush fires!) and it can be felt in my face, hands, lips, etc. when I’m outside for any substantial period of time. I have to stay hydrated, absolutely – but I also need to use products with non-drying and nourishing ingredients to get me through this stage of the season until we start seeing more rain and snow!

For my hair care collection for the Fall, similar goals to my skincare were sought throughout these past couple of months – especially since colder and more dry climates can cause significant breakage and frizz. I began utilizing more hydrating masks, daily leave-in conditioners and air-dry creams to help keep my curls healthy, shiny and smooth – as well as to keep those “hide it in a hat” days at a minimum!

And with that, the last installment of my skincare/hair care of 2024 comes to a close! I know that by Winter, the harshest of times here in the Northeast, I’m going to need a lot more conditioning and soothing products in my regimen – so if anyone has any recommendations before we get to that point – feel free to drop me a line of leave a comment!

Until next time!
