One of the many perks of the Fall season here in New England is that despite the fact that it very much serves as a bit of a transitional period between the hot and humid days of Summer and the frigid, Arctic-like temperatures of the Winter- my every day/night skincare routine only ever needs a couple of tweaks and adjustments to keep my complexion looking clear and bright this time of year. I don’t need to overly exfoliate excess oil left over from the scorcher days in the sun at the beach, and I don’t yet need to crank up the moisturizer to compensate for the lower temperatures outside or in my office when the snow starts falling again.
So while I’m still actively and regularly using my serums, eye creams and SPFs from this past Summer’s Skincare/Hair Care routine– there’s been a couple of additions to keep my skin balanced and comfortable throughout the change in seasons. I’ve actually turned to the healing, calming properties of CBD to keep breakouts and dryness at bay while simultaneously nourishing and protecting my skin with bright green cleansers and toners. I’ll get to those in just a second!
And of course, if you’re curious about past routines and collections- I’ve linked them here, too!

For my hair care this Fall, I have been all about adding in extra hydration and shine- not only because it’s the time of year where I’m wearing beanies at every occasion and my strands could use the extra TLC as a result- but also because I have some big plans coming up with regards to changing my hairstyle and I want to make sure my curls and my scalp are as healthy and smooth as possible before I do anything potentially drastic.
While I still rely heavily on my blonde-protecting and brassiness-fighting shampoos and conditioners- I also like to switch it up every couple of days by using a deeply hydrating set in the shower, instead- including a rich mask to repair/prevent frizz and split ends- and a more curl-focused styling cream.

And that just about does it for my Fall routine! I definitely know that come Winter, a lot of the things included in my current collection are going to be refreshed and revised depending on my needs for the season- but right now I have been loving how my skin and hair looks and feels with these affordable, beneficial products and impulse tries/buys.
And as always, feel free to drop me a line to let me know what you’ve been using this season! I love a good recommendation!
