Although it doesn’t really feel like it with the current weather outside my window (see: snow/sleet) Spring is officially here and ongoing in the Northeast, and I’ve been gradually updating my wardrobe, my accessories- and my makeup regimen to go hand-in-hand with the change of seasons!
While my Winter 2023/2024 collection was all about bold blues and icy whites for my take on the “Cold Girl” trend, I’ve since shifted to more neutral (and natural!) shadow palettes, bronzers and subtle, hydrating lip glosses to compliment the lighter and brighter shades that are slowly but surely taking over my closet. Think blush pink, mint green, and cream/tan hues before I dive into all the neon and tropical-printed everything that I so adore by the time the Summer rolls around!
As always, I’ll have some swatches of the products I discuss today near the end of the post so you can see the pigmentation and sparkle up-close and personal, and I’ll include links on where you can buy any of the products featured today.
But first, should you want to revisit any of my past collections from over the years:

When browsing for a new eyeshadow palette for the season, there’s one brand I seem to always go back to time and time again every Spring, and that’s Wander Beauty. Their formulas are so pigmented, so easy to blend, and don’t crease, flake or crumble at all- and that goes for both the metallic/sparkly shades and the mattes, too!
This season, I’m obsessed with their Trailblazer palette- which includes a healthy variety of neutrals, pinks, and soft green tones and textures that look so unbelievably beautiful once applied. The shadows are buttery smooth and they look stunning with my Winter-into-Spring ensembles I’ve been wearing as of late (I’ll share some of those in another post!)

I have to be cautious when selecting bronzers (and so many of the ones I’ve loved in the past have been discontinued!) because of how pale I am. More than once, I’ve been burned by products that sounded great on paper but turned me into a walking tangerine once applied around my face and neck.
Fortunately, this Buttermelt Bronzer from NYX was not only affordable but also gives me a natural and buildable bronze glow with just a couple of quick swipes along my cheeks, nose and forehead. Much like my Wander Beauty eye shadow, the formula is super smooth and easy to blend in case I get little heavy-handed during application- and it stays in place all day.
And just in case anyone is curious or shares the same pale/pasty complexion as me, I use the lightest shade- “BUTTA CUP”.

For my lips this season, I just want to stay hydrated and glossy, baby! I need a break from dark tones and mattes on my mouth for a little while, and have traded them in for subtle sparkle and hints of pink on my pout for the foreseeable future. One of my “must-haves” in my purse at the moment is this soft pink, Shea Butter and collagen-infused milky gloss from TYS Beauty. It glides on smooth and leaves my lips instantly softer and smoother for hours.

I’ve also been loving these two glosses/top coats from Half Caked, as well. These formulas in particular are loaded with Vitamin E and offer a painless plumping effect. I like to apply them after I put on a little lipliner to make my lips look fuller and more defined, and the results are always impressive!
