It’s been a few days since I’ve had to wear a jacket outside, there’s no visible snow/ice on the ground, and I have been incorporating more and more pastels and florals into my wardrobe and accessories- which means that Spring is finally here in New England and I can officially share some of the newest additions to my makeup collection this season!
I love writing about the makeup I’m obsessed with every few months, which is typically a decent mix of budget beauty that packs a punch and luxury splurges that I treated myself to- all while still getting plenty of usage out of the products from past collections so that nothing goes to waste (especially my money!) Such was the case for my Spring 2023 makeup collection, where I’ve been re-purchasing and using foundations and blushes/highlighters I had shared last Summer and Winter since they still work so well. As my grandmother used to say- “If it ain’t broke- don’t fix it!”
This season’s every day/evening routine has been all about beautiful shadow shades on my lids, fluttery lashes and subtle pops of glossy color on my lips as I transition out of my darker, more dramatic looks for the colder and more dreary months and embrace all things light, airy and feminine.
I’ll have swatches of the products near the end of the post, and am linking to collections of the past in case anyone wants to check them out!

First things first- is it possible to fall madly in love with a primer? If that’s unprecedented, then let me openly admit that I’ll be the first one to do it. I’ve gone through a few of the ‘Poreless Putty Primers’ from e.l.f. in recent weeks/months- not only because it’s lightweight, creamy texture feels velvety soft and smooth to the touch, and not just because it helps my skin look absolutely radiant as I apply my makeup- hiding each and every pore as it melts into my skin.
It’s also because this primer holds everything in place all. day. long. Foundation, cream blush, highlighter, bronzer (on my more daring days,) and powder? They’re locked in. I have had very, very few bad makeup days since I switched to this $10 product- and I can’t imagine I’ll stop using it anytime soon throughout the Spring and Summer. It’s fantastic- and available at pretty much any drug store!

Shifting gears into my Springtime eye looks, I had last written about this gorgeous eye shadow palette from Wander Beauty when I shared some of my favorite things from February of this year- and as Spring got closer and I was playing around with more color on my eyes- I knew this was going to be the palette I reached for the most this time of year.
With hypnotizing glitters, creamy metallics and easy-to-blend mattes- I have been able to create so many beautiful, whimsical looks with the ‘Suite Escape’ color choices- all with cute, travel-themed names that are perfect for my “get up and go” personality. You can see some of my recent looks over on my Instagram!

For mascara this season, although I was absolutely loving my Lawless lashes throughout the Winter- I needed something a little more light for the Spring since I was focused on giving my lower lashes some love, too. The ‘Icon’ volume and curling mascara from IL MAKIAGE features a super long wand to make it easier to apply to the inner corners and along the aforementioned lower lashes without clumping or smudging- and there’s no flaking or breaking down of the formula- even after a long day or unpredictable weather.
My lashes have been looking super long, curled just right and definitely eye catching with this product- and it’s perfect for those who may have sensitive eyes, as well (I usually do during the height of allergy season- but this mascara hasn’t bothered me a bit!)

And finally, it’s time to talk about lips! I have been keeping things glossy and hydrating this season since Winter’s relentless efforts to stick around longer than necessary wreaked absolute havoc with my skin and hair. Even with warmer weather and some humidity on the rise to replenish my cold-cracked and dried skin- I’m not taking any chances, Ultra-moisturizing balms and sheer/shiny coats are what I’ve been rocking throughout Spring so far- with three products in particular being my absolute favorite!
From top to bottom:
For days that I want more pop with my lip look, I turn to Persona Cosmetics’ tinted lip balm in the shade ‘Manifest,’ which is a rich, cherry red. Infused with things like Vitamin E, Shea Butter, Avocado Oil- this balm leaves my lips feeling so soft and so hydrated while brightening up my complexion with long-time wear.

This bright pink and prismatic gloss from Smith & Cult was another favorite I’ve carried over from February, and my love for the color and finish of this product hasn’t changed! This vegan and cruelty-free formula is also nourishing to the lips, but it’s the sparkly sheen it gives my pout that I love the most- and the pink undertones are perfect for the Springtime!

And finally, when I just want an every day, work-to-weekend peachy nude- I reach for the Persimmon + Plump – Glass Finish Lip Glaze by Seraphine Botanicals. Loaded with castor bean, rice bran and olive oils- this rich gloss plumps up my lips without the pain and compliments every aspect of my Springtime makeup routine. My shade, ‘Wet Skin’, is a barely there burst of natural color and shine- and I’ve already restocked twice since I was introduced to it!

I seriously love this season’s assortment of new items and products- and all of the beautiful, airy, Springtime-appropriate looks I’ve been able to create with them. I’m so ready to dive into this season and all the outdoor activities that come with it!
But first, I believe some of you may want some swatches!

I’ll have another collection ready to share in the Summertime, of course- but if anyone has any product or makeup brand recommendations to share before then, please feel free to leave a comment or drop me a line! I love trying new things- especially in the warmer months when playing with all sorts of bright and fun colors is one of my favorite pastimes!
