A Month to Remember: April 2023

When looking back on this past month and all the photos, videos and memories I’ve accumulated over the weeks leading up to now- I catch myself smiling at how much time I was lucky enough to spend with friends, family and in beautiful Springtime weather! This month has been busy, for sure- with travel (local and out-of-state) holiday gatherings and the usual office work in-between it all- but I had so much fun throughout April and am looking forward to continuing the adventures and the party well into May.

I had kicked off April with a weekend divided between Salem, where I attended my friend Phill’s annual Wrestlemania party, and Melrose- where Sean and I launched what would be our first city hike of the season. There’s nothing like enjoying a ton of delicious, wrestling-themed snacks prepared by some of the most fun people around, and then immediately burning off those calories and taking in spectacular views of the Boston skyline from afar.

Shortly after returning back to Western Massachusetts, I stopped by two places I’d been wanting to check out for a long time over the course of a weekend I’d freed up for myself- including a retro antique shop/showcase with some impressive finds, and savoring one of the most incredible multi-course meals I’ve ever had.

I spent Easter with my family, which is always laid-back and fun, and shared my usual recipes and Springtime style throughout the month- as well as my makeup collection for the season– but the highlight of my month was, by far, traveling to Maryland for a few days to see Andrew and the kids again! It’s always so good spending time with them, playing and reading and watching them grow- and I can’t wait to go back soon!

I wrapped up this month back home, working on my podcast and keeping Oliver active and healthy– and here we are! There’s only a couple of days of the month left for me to unwind and finalize my preparations for May!

You might be asking what exactly I have coming up. Well, as I write this- I’m also working out the details for a brief visit to California, making plans to treat my mom for Mother’s Day, am gearing up for Boston Calling weekend- and am eagerly awaiting a return to New Hampshire (and the beach!) for Memorial Day since I have a friend visiting from out of state!

There’s so much to do and so much to look forward to- and I can’t wait to share my photos and recaps along the way!

So here’s to April, which has been an absolute delight- and to May being a wonderful transition into the Summertime!
