Greetings from Maryland! I’ve been multi-taking and working remotely since my arrival this past Saturday morning, specifically keeping two small children entertained while I’m here, hence the lack of a post on Monday and any typos that might be found in this post. I’m very, very tired- but in the best possible way.
I flew down to help out Kelsey’s husband, Andrew, with his two small children (my honorary niece and nephew) while he adjusted to a change in his work schedule. I hadn’t seen them since last Fall when we’d all gone to D.C. for a Killers show together- so I jumped at the chance to visit and spend time with them again- and I’m always so blown away by just how quickly little kids can grow and change in the span of just a few short months! I remember when they were just learning how to talk, and walk- and now they’re in school, have interests, and having full on conversations (although sometimes I need a little help translating the youngest since he’s only three.)
It has been such an absolute blast- from hanging out with the neighbors during a community block/birthday party where everyone was super friendly and welcoming, to having friends stop by with their kids for a pizza playdate, to getting to read stories and watch movies with two of my favorite kids/mini-Kelseys.

During the week, while Andrew is at work and the kids are at school- I’ve been getting things done at work and preparing for travel/accommodations for the upcoming Festival season that is kicking off in May. Today marks my last full day in Maryland before I fly home tomorrow afternoon- although I’m so reluctant to leave. It’s been such a great trip- and I can’t wait to come back!
It’s back to my usual blogging business this coming Friday since I’ll be back home and (hopefully) caught up on sleep.
’til then!
