A Month to Remember: August 2026

This installment of “A Month to Remember” is really a love letter, not only to August itself but to the Summer of 2026 in it’s entirety. What a gorgeous, beautifully paced, “live in the moment” type of season it was overall – filled with spontaneous adventures, milestones, and precious time spent in the company of some of my dearest friends and beloved family from both near and far.

August served as a bookend to this past Summer, and as excited and giddy as I am to jump into September and all things Autumnal (I’ve already got my Fall candles ready to go and am just waiting for the signal to start lighting them!) I really and truly want to give August the proper sendoff it deserves.

I had started this month slow and sweet, first by sharing my current skincare/hair care essentials before embarking on the first of many coastal-inspired gatherings from these past few weeks – a lobster bake I attended with my mom at a local winery!

That led into one of the main events, of course, which was my annual Girls Trip to the Cape for some deep sea fishing, another lobster bake, and a day spent in Provincetown! The trip was so wonderful, in fact, that it spawned not just one “Local Loves” installment for a gorgeous Mexican restaurant in Hyannis – but two! – with a follow-up stop in Chatham to pick up some of the best savory pies on the East Coast.

I visited my dear friend in Vermont to check in on his cabin construction and attended the last Book Club meeting of the Summer (both of which my boyfriend managed to join me for!) before it was time to start picking some sunflowers and getting the last of my seasonal produce since it’s almost time so shift gears into apple and pumpkin-flavored everything,

I whipped up some Summertime recipes in-between it all, and managed to share an ‘Outfit Of The Day’ installment where the photos were all taken by my boyfriend’s iPhone, too. Having him as a guest photographer at the beach was super cute – even if the angles he shot me at were not!

And now that we’re in the final stretch, the last few hours, of August – it’s time to look ahead to September and the Fall overall. I have plenty of local and seasonal stuff planned with my friends, of course – like Labor Day outings, a stop by the Hampton Beach Seafood Festival, trips to cider houses and pumpkin patches, a possible Renaissance Faire day, some early-spooky stuff (of course!) and plenty of days/nights at the fairs and carnivals around New England where I plan on trying every new snack and riding every Ferris Wheel I see more than once – but I’m also attending a concert I’ve been looking forward to for a couple of months now, kicking off another NFL season, testing the recipes I’ll be sharing here over the next few weeks, and unveiling some new additions in my Summer-to-Fall transitional wardrobe. It’s not all sweaters just yet!

So here’s a tip of my wide-brimmed sun hat to August – a magical month that helped wind down an even more magical Summer. I’m so filled with love and gratitude, and will take the memories I made over this past season with me wherever I go. To say I’m blessed is truly an understatement – but I feel so, so blessed.

And here’s to making even more wonderful memories and receiving even more blessings in September. I’m manifesting a whimsical Fall for me and for all of you, too!
