I can feel the Fall calling to me, like a sea siren, and it’s song is one I can never resist no matter how hard I try. Have I indulged in a Pumpkin Spice Latte since they made their return to local coffee shops earlier this week? Yes. Have I started eyeing the foliage tracker and my local farmstands to figure out when I’m going to go look at leaves and when I’m going to go apple picking? Also yes. Have I created a full itinerary of all the foods I’m going to try at the upcoming fairs in and around New England? Oh yeah, I did that too.
But before I jump into September and the “Ber Months” in general, I wanted to take some time to share a few of the things I splurged on, listened/danced to, stumbled upon and subsequently became obsessed with, etc., etc. That’s right – it’s time for the last “Favorite Things” installment for Summer 2026!
I’ll share the photos first, and the miscellaneous odds & ends near the end of the post (including links when I can!)
Now let’s do this!

Is it really a successful Girls Trip if you and your girlfriends don’t leave with matching hoodies and/or sweatpants? I think not. Lucky for me, all of us found a variety of super soft, super comfortable loungewear during our recent day out in Provincetown.
For me, I fell in love with this oversized, off-yellow pullover sweatshirt and these navy blue, fleece-lined joggers – which I’m definitely going to be wearing as the Fall approaches and the nights start getting a little chillier.
And while these weren’t purchased at our beloved Cuffy’s, they were still affordable and great quality. I truly can never have enough hoodies!

Also related to our recent trip? These mugs I had picked up as part of the gift bags I put together for the girls! I found these coastal mugs, printed with drawings of ice cream cones, champagne bottles, hydrangeas, oysters, and so much more, over at THIS ETSY SHOP where the owner is based in Maine.
They arrived super fast, were packaged securely and with care, and were such a hit when it came time for everyone to open their bags once we were finally all at our cottage together.
I saved one for myself, of course, and have been enjoying my morning coffee at home as I savor these last few days/weeks of Summer!

Now while there were only a couple of photogenic favorites this time around, there were a few other things that definitely made the list for August!
– MUSIC/MOVIES/TELEVISION –
Brandon Flowers – ‘Thrasher’: The Killers’ frontman went country this Summer with his third solo studio album, ‘Thrasher’, which dropped last week. I’d been anticipating this one for a while since the singles I’d heard as they were released sounded promising and, frankly, really beautiful – and I wasn’t disappointed!
While there’s a couple of tracks that didn’t quite do it for me, overall this is a great and fearless jump into a new genre that I’ve never really seen Brandon lean into too much over the years. Standout tracks include ‘Plans’ and ‘An American Dream’
Jungle – ‘Sunshine’: My goodness, I love Jungle. They’re so fun to listen to and every album they’ve released has found a permanent home in any soundtracks I’m putting together for road trips, cleaning sessions, cookouts and parties, etc. Their fifth album, ‘Sunshine’ also delivers bop after bop after bop.
It’s been such a great source for music to play when out and about this Summer! Standout tracks include ‘The Wave’ and ‘Carry On’.
– MISCELLANEOUS –
My 90s TV – LINK HERE – This website was such a cool find this month, and has provided so much entertainment (and background noise when I’m working!) It’s basically a TV that you can control from your phone/browser where you can select the year, change the channel, and you’re treated to a number of music videos, commercials, news, sporting events, television episodes and movie trailers from said year to browse at your leisure.
While they have versions for the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s – and now the 00s – the 90s one is the one I keep coming back to! it’s like revisiting my childhood!
Poolsuite – LINK HERE – Speaking of things to listen to while I’m working, I only just became aware of Poolsuite – an internet radio station that’s been around in different variations since 2014.
They play beachy tunes, perfect for the Summer, with a retro interface that’s oddly calming and easy to navigate. This has been my go-to when I’m focused on my writing or at night when I’m trying to wind down for bed.

That just about does it for this month’s installment! I’m looking forward to slowly but surely starting to incorporate some cute Fall things into my September round-up when the time comes!
Next Monday, I’ll have my full recap of August in it’s entirety ready to go before we bid a fond farewell to it and start gearing up for the month ahead.
Until then, have a great weekend, everyone!
