For this installment of ‘OOTD’, my boyfriend Troy served as the photographer for some of the photos during a recent night out we had together up in New Hampshire. While he did not have a fancy, expensive camera with a super zoom lens – he did have an iPhone and a vision. At least I think he did. He tried his best. I love him very much.
There’s a meme I’ve seen going around where it’s “photos I take of my boyfriend versus photos he takes of me” and all of the participants have similar stories. We take super stylized, high-definition, ‘Vogue’-cover-shoot-worthy pictures of our partners in perfect lighting, at just the right angle, and with absolutely no blurring whatsoever…
… We get back photos of us mid-chewing our food, with our eyes half open, laughing or moving at what can only be described as the most unflattering and almost impossible looking angles, and they’re all blurry to some degree. Every single time. I always laugh when I see the meme come across my feed because it’s so accurate to me. Every photo I have of Troy on my phone is beautiful. It’s art – meanwhile he has an entire album of photos dedicated to me sleeping in his passenger’s seat while simultaneously looking like someone he literally fished out of a dumpster.
So when I asked him to help me document this coastal-inspired sundress, a find I picked up during my recent trip to Provincetown, I knew I’d have to scroll through a lot of photos of me looking terrible (and some of me eating tacos because of course there were photos of that) to find some that showed off the length and pattern of this lightweight linen dress from 3 Graces Boutique.
And I took some photos of my own to show off that pattern!

This dress is lightweight, stretchy, and has adjustable straps for comfort, and I had a lot of fun wearing this at dinner and then for a quick stroll along the rocks as the sun was setting given how colorful and vibrant it is.
I’m looking forward to getting a little more wear out of this before the end of the season – especially since I have a few more beach days planned in the weeks ahead!
