My goodness, January- you are a force to be reckoned with! Although the months that make up Fall will always and forever be my favorites out of the year, I have a special spot in my heart for January- and not just because it’s my birthday month! January represents a new beginning and endless possibilities for the year ahead, many of us are still riding on the holiday highs, and despite Wintery and snowy conditions (where I live, anyway!) it feels like Spring isn’t too far away as this month carries on.
January 2023 was a memorable one, indeed- kicked off with a cozy and magical weekend spent with Troy in Salem before he returned to California and I returned to blogging regularly and sharing some of my favorite local shops- like the treasure trove of an antique shop in Brattleboro, Vermont and one of the cutest and most unique boutiques in Northampton, Massachusetts.
I shared a few of the newer additions to my Winter wardrobe and a couple of comfort food recipes to savor on chilly days, but this month also saw me highlighting some of the new and seasonal additions to my makeup collection and getting excited to incorporate the Pantone Color of the Year into all parts of my life and style!
I got to spend time with family I hadn’t seen before the holidays for belated dinners and gift exchanges, and celebrated longtime friends’ birthdays before it was time for my own celebration of getting just a little bit older– all in-between plenty of quick-to-melt snowstorms and working from home in front of my heater and in the comfort of pajamas. One of the perks of both Winter and snow days during adulthood!
And with the month winding down in these next couple of days, Stef and I’s podcast kicks off it’s third season (!!!) this week while I prepare for February and all it’s plans- including Super Bowl parties, Valentine’s Day (and Galentines Day, of course) some local travel and plenty of more recipes and outfits peppered in for good measure!
So here’s to January, and what was a beautiful beginning to a brand new year- and to February being just as full of love, fun and excitement!
