It’s good to be home and getting back into my usual grind with both my daily regimens and my work schedule- and although I’m still adjusting to the time zone difference and sporadic sleep patterns since touching down in Boston- I’m looking forward to the upcoming long weekend and getting into September and all things Fall!
It’s hard to believe Summer of 2022 is coming to a close, however. It’s been such a wild and fun few months- all reaching a crescendo this past August= which was filled to the brim with a lot of travel, good music, great food and seeing friends/family from all over.
The month started somewhat close-to-home, where I unintentionally stumbled on one of the cutest cafés in all of Mystic, Connecticut before making my way to Rye, New Hampshire where I weighed in on the future of blogging/content creation and did some shopping at one of my favorite retro motels/surf shops. I also talked about my Summer skincare/hair care routine for the season and visited a 1970s-themed restaurant in Easthampton that has become one of my most beloved spots to dine/drink since I first moved to the area in 2019.
During the height of the New England heat wave- I talked about seeking escape, entertainment and air conditioning with unconventional movie screenings in my area and, while being mindful of the shade and cooling stations provided for guests- stopped by the first ever In Between Days music festival in Quincy.
And to round out the month- I made a quick cross-country trip out West that extended into this week- and while I’ve shared some of my photos from my brief time in San Diego, California-I’m going to have the full recap of Las Vegas up and running later on this week!
So what else do I have planned in September? Plenty of decorating and seasonal candles, of course- but I’ll be traveling to popular and picturesque parts of New England and New York for apple/pumpkin picking and leaf peeping, September also marks the beginning of county fair and street festival/harvest season- so I anticipate I’ll be joining in on the fun at those, too.
I may even get a jump start on Halloween by sharing some of my favorite spooky, potentially haunted locations and historical markers, as well. We’ll see how it goes!
So here’s to August and really- to the Summer of 2022 in it’s entirety- a few wonderful weeks of adventures and memories that I will cherish for a lifetime!
See you all in September!
