I know I’ve said it/mentioned it in pretty much every single one of my recent posts- but May of 2022 might have been one of the busiest, non-stop months I’ve had in a very, very long time! As I write this, I’m also preparing to head to the Boston Calling music festival this weekend to conduct some interviews and snap some photos on behalf of the radio station I work for, as well as make a drive into New York to see another musical performance by The Lumineers- and head to my friend’s college graduation party to commemorate him finally finishing what was a long and sometimes difficult road to his degree!
I’ve decided to take Monday off from pretty much everything- obligations, errands and blogging- so that I can rest and recuperate before I head into June and a bunch of things I have lined up in the weeks ahead (which I’ll get to shortly!) So it seemed like as good a time as any to pay my respects to this most deliciously hectic and wild of months!
I had jumped into May with a coastal drive up to Maine before things officially kick off for the Summer season here in New England for an afternoon of seafood and scenery. And then, only days later- I kept things a little more local and shared one of my favorite and very popular visitor spots in Shelburne Falls.
I talked about my Spring hair and skin routine right before Troy came to visit for a few days of pizza, coffee and late night Netflix viewing- and that same week I was also lucky enough to see Interpol perform in Boston for the first time in years!
I did some flower picking at a tulip farm in Connecticut, hosted a Summer-inspired giveaway (which wraps up this weekend- so be sure to get your entries in!) and had a bachelorette weekend for my soon-to-be-married cousin in Historic Deerfield right after catching a Demetri Martin set in Troy, New York (where my header photo of the amazing stage was taken!)
And all of this was happening between working full-time, hosting my radio show and wrapping up the first season of Stef and I’s podcast! I’ve been going, going, going!
So what do I have lined up in June? My cousin’s wedding, for starters! I’m the Maid of Honor and the next couple of weeks are going to be spent making sure everything and everyone is good to go.
I also have a cross-country trip to California planned for a mini vacation- where I’m going to be doing some sightseeing and hiking around Orange County and Los Angeles (and I’ll have so many pictures to share along the way!) while I also talk about some of my Summer wardrobe and seasonal-inspired recipes!
