A Month to Remember: July 2026

Similar to June of this year, July felt like it moved along at a remarkably slow, steady, and manageable pace, and despite how busy and active I was throughout 90% of it, I never felt like I was missing out on any of my Summer or like I was rushing through anything – and for that, I’m incredibly grateful. I truly love this season and being able to be fully present in it while enjoying so many moments and making so many memories!

With August just a few hours away, and with plenty more things on my schedule for these last few weeks of Summer, I wanted to take a loving look back on July in all it’s sunny, humid glory and recap some of the highlights I shared here on ‘Coffee & Chiffon‘ throughout it.

I had kicked off the month right as I was finishing up an amazing weekend split between Vermont and The Cape with some of my friends, which included great food, plenty of hydrangeas, and time spent in both the woods and the ocean before I’d returned home and got back to business with sharing my current makeup collection and a fun, fruity dip I got to get really creative with.

I survived one of the craziest heatwaves we’ve had in New England for a while just as the country was celebrating it’s 250th. When the temperatures finally began to ease up, I made it a point to spend a pretty perfect day in Rockport, Massachusetts – where I snapped plenty of photos and stopped by one of the best accessory shops around to stock up on some seasonal goodies!

During a day off with no specific plans made, I stumbled on one of the coolest and historic little villages in Vermont and spent another day off traveling around Rhode Island for an afternoon with my boyfriend to do some “Troll Hunting” which was one of the most perfect and spontaneous adventures ever.

But I think one of the most poignant highlights of July 2026 for me was reuniting with my older brother, my sister-in-law, and my niece – who managed to pull off an impromptu trip back to Massachusetts for the first time since they moved to Florida back in 2022. Once we were all together again, it was like no time had passed between us at all – and we spent hours gathered at my mother’s house where we shared stories, photos, and laughed so hard well into the night – only to do it all over again when we all attended a cookout at my aunt’s house during their stay!

I love them endlessly, and I’m already planning a road trip down to Florida to see them again sooner than later!

And all of these joyous moments took place in-between grabbing dinner or drinks with friends, recording my podcast, attending book club in New Hampshire, cooking up more seasonal recipes or sharing some hot weather staples from my closet. Like I said – busy for sure – but so steady and manageable at the same time!

Coming up in August, I’ve got my annual girls trip to Cape Cod planned for next week (I’ve got to start packing!), a long overdue lobster bake to attend on top of more cookouts and BBQs, plenty more day trips in and around New England – and more dishes and outfits to show off since I’m still very much in seafood and sundress mode.

So here’s a toast to July – another month that was perfectly paced and filled with incredible gifts from the universe – and I’m keeping my glass raised to August in the hopes of it being just as whimsical and magical for all of us!

See you all again on Monday! Enjoy your weekend!
