As militant as I am when it comes to applying sunscreen on time, every time, I admittedly got a little relaxed this past weekend while spending time in beautiful, historical, picturesque Rockport, Massachusetts – and got a little red, a little overheated, and am presently chugging water and remaining under the air conditioner at work like my life depends on it (because it might!) while I recover from what my mother used to call “a touch of heatstroke.”
Thankfully, I had been spending a good portion of my day ducking in and out of shops and restaurants rather than spending the entirety of the trip out in the sun, so it could have been so much worse, and one of those shops was my new favorite little place to pick up accessories right near the entrance to the famous Bearskin Neck peninsula – Wicked Peacock.
This small shop is absolutely packed, wall-to-wall, with high quality, carefully curated, and super cute jewelry, clothing, bags/wallets, and any kind of accessory you could need to complete a look – and everything is fairly and reasonably priced – so you don’t have to break the bank picking out gifts for yourself or your loved ones.
I found so many great things, like sardine tin earrings and a beaded lobster clutch, as well as some charm bracelets and hair clips I’m excited to use the next time I tie my curls back since they’ve got the perfect amount of sparkle and shine to them and it is just so hot out that I can’t deal with my hair sticking to my neck!

The staff were so sweet and helpful, and the shop is naturally within walking distance of a ton of other attractions and shops/galleries to check out – although I’ll get to the full recap of my stay a little later on this week!
Stay cool and hydrated, everyone!
