OOTD: Conjuring Cozy

It’s about that time for me to officially pack up and put away the last of my Spring/Summertime clothing that I’ve been holding onto (and bid farewell to the pieces I’ve chosen to donate this year) and begin the process of hanging up my collection of sweaters, fleece-lined leggings and jackets again. The chill in the air is sticking around a lot longer these days – and I’ve got to adjust my wardrobe to accommodate it. That’s my task for this afternoon once I’m done with work for the day. I’ve cleared my schedule to complete it!

One new thing I recently purchased while out doing some seasonal shopping with my mom and that I’ve had within reach during evenings/nights lately, especially if my plans involve spending time outdoors when the temperatures dip, is this long, woolen, patchwork poncho with a turtleneck collar that I’ve been throwing over everything – jeans and t-shirts, dresses, office ensembles, etc.

This one is so soft, so cozy, and keeps me nice and toasty without making me sweat or feel itchy. I recently wore this while up in Vermont for some dinner and leaf-peeping with Dan and his parents, having put it on over a simple dark brown t-shirt that was tucked into my cocoa-colored baggy jeans. I went from looking super casual to a very layered, Autumnal Queen in just a couple of moments.

And since October 1st, I’ve been carrying this Ouija purse my friends gifted me that I highlighted during my September “Favorite Things” post. This is now my go-to bag during Spooky Season. I absolutely love it.

With my Fall/Winter clothes officially making a comeback, I’m sure I’ll have more Halloween-inspired ensembles to share in the coming weeks. I’m just getting started, after all!

Next week, I’ll be sharing the new additions to my makeup collection, recapping some fun plans I have lined up for this weekend with my friends and family, and sharing an awe-inspiring “Local Loves” my boyfriend just brought me to earlier this week where I captured the most spectacular foliage photos!

Enjoy your weekend, everyone!
