I’ve made no attempts to hide my excitement and long-standing love of the Fall, especially having grown up here in New England- but it also happens to be one of the busiest times of the year for me! Between my usual plans with friends and family that involve our favorite local pumpkin patches, apple picking, preparations for Halloween, etc., there’s also the return of football (and the game day snacks!), local fairs/harvest festivals- and getting ready for the inevitable holiday season and the hustle and bustle that comes with the end-of-the-year wind-down.
I knew these next few weeks were going to be packed with plans as the weather gets cooler, the days get shorter and the leaves change color- but when looking at my planner I didn’t realize just *how* much I’d managed to schedule around my full-time office job and morning radio gig- especially considering how 2020 was the year of postponed or cancelled everything. It really is like I’m making up for all the time I lost last year- and then some!
One of my dearest friends is visiting from California in the days ahead, I’m spending a morning/afternoon in the mountaintops in the Berkshires next week, Right after that I’m heading to Philadelphia for cheesesteaks and then to Delaware to dance the night away and watch The Killers at the Firefly Music Festival– and all of that is on top of all the aforementioned Autumnal activities I usually have lined up as well as doing some long overdue tidying up with my apartment and with my wardrobe as I transition out of my Spring/Summer-wear!

Of course, I’ve been making it a point to find downtime to rest up for the excitement ahead- including grabbing brunch (and the best graham cracker cappuccino) at Sylvester’s in Northampton this past weekend and spending a low-key evening at my mom’s house to celebrate my niece turning 13 (!!!!) with a small cookout with my family since we’ve all been vaccinated.
And as wild as the next few days/weeks are going to be- I don’t feel anxious or overwhelmed in the least. I’m very excited, and I can’t wait to share some photos and videos from my adventures and journeys- both here on “Coffee & Chiffon” and on my INSTAGRAM.
So before I break for the weekend- where I’ve penciled in getting my hair touched up and doing some much-needed grocery shopping before my guest arrives from the West Coast on Monday morning- I wanted to remind you all that today is the last day to enter my Fall Bundle Giveaway! The winner will be contacted over the weekend!
Good luck to everyone who has entered so far! And thank you!
