Local Loves: Lost Time Books

Before we start getting real spooky here at ‘Coffee & Chiffon‘ in preparation for Halloween, I want to keep things a little more whimsical and cute in honor of the changing leaves with this most recent installment of “Local Loves”, which takes us back to Southern Vermont for a delightful and picturesque find right off of a main roadway.

Lost Time Books is a used and rare book store that is a “blink and you’ll miss it” spot in the heart of Brattleboro, Vermont. Located on the lower level of 51 Main Street, with a side entrance right under Bobbin & Skein, what this shop lacks in size (it’s a pretty tiny place!) it more than makes up for in charm, character, and a really diverse selection of books to browse that cover a wide array of different topics.

I like popping in here from time to time to see what’s new and relax in the adorable little outdoor sitting area by the entrance. As busy as Main Street can be and usually is, Lost Time Books feels like a whole other world as soon as you step into it – and the growing vines/ivy on the exterior of the store add a little fairytale charm that you simply just won’t get at a Barnes & Noble.

I’ll more than likely be stopping by again this coming weekend or next week while I’m out for an annual “Leaf Peeping” drive now that we’re finally starting to see some real color in the trees – and I’m looking forward to picking up some new books to read back at home when I do!

Next week, I’ve got a cozy dinner recipe to share, a recap of my upcoming long weekend, and another peek into my wardrobe now that the chill in the air isn’t giving up and I’ve got to keep on some layers!

Enjoy your weekend, everyone!
