A Month to Remember: April 2026

Oh April, is it really time for you to leave again so soon? It feels like you only just got here! This month has been so busy and bustling – with plenty of work obligations, family get-togethers, celebrations with my friends, and more quality time with my boyfriend throughout his last few days in town during his most recent visit that I don’t think I really had the opportunity to truly pause and take it all in all that often!

Before we get into May – and those late Spring/early Summer plans I’ve got lined up (and my calendar is slowly but surely filling to capacity!) – I wanted to take the opportunity to revisit some of April’s most memorable moments and events that I had written about and shared in recent weeks. This month, as non-stop as it seemed at times, was also really magical in so many ways.

I had started this April off by talking about one of my favorite “Foodie Destinations”, specifically for doughnuts in Mystic, Connecticut before heading over to Sudbury, Massachusetts for a much-needed “Girls Day” with my mom and my cousin Paige, who I’ve always viewed more as a little sister since we were raised together as kids. It was perfect weather, perfect scenery, and a perfect lunch to close out the day together!

I shared my current makeup collection (and obsessions!) and celebrated both Easter and back-to-back birthdays with some of my dearest friends and loved ones before it was time for Troy to head back to Nevada in preparation for a big career opportunity he has coming up next week. Before his departure, we took a wonderful hike together to beautiful ruins tucked away in the Berkshires and had one last “Date Night” dinner at one of my favorite Italian restaurants in my hometown.

When I wasn’t sharing seasonal recipes or looks from my recently organized closet throughout this month, I was celebrating the annual Daffodil Festival in Newport and enjoying beautiful pastel scenery at one of the loveliest cafés in Providence.

Although I took more than one trip to Rhode Island this month in search of Spring, I also sought out signs of the season right here in the Pioneer Valley and Western Massachusetts this month, as well – with many of my favorite establishments opening up for the warmer months or getting their spaces prepped for the nicer weather. It’s truly a transformative tradition each year – now say that three times fast – and one I look forward to so much.

And now he were are, at the tail end of the month and with May ready to make it’s grand entrance onto the scene. Next month is shaping up to be another lovely and lively collection of adventures and time spent with those I cherish – including bringing back Stef & I’s horror movie/cooking podcast in a couple of weeks for a new season, treating my mom to a Mother’s Day brunch surprise, the Spring/Summer re-opening of my favorite hangout spot in New Hampshire, a day spent at a farm and a weekend spent in Maine – just to name a few. There’s actually so much more coming up!

So with all that being said, here’s a hug and a kiss to bid the fondest farewell to April 2026 – a month which saw the highly anticipated arrival of Spring and so much beauty, laughter and lightheartedness. I’m so grateful for all of it – as busy as it felt most of the time! – and I hope that May is filled with just as much joy and love for each and every one of us.

I’ll be back this coming Friday to kick off the new month in style – literally! – with another look inside my wardrobe!

See you all then!
