OOTD: Spells and Sage…

I love a good Fall wedding- especially when the ceremony and reception take place in a unique location surrounded by gorgeous and seasonal scenery! Such was the case this past weekend when I traveled to Syracuse, New York with my dear friend Dan for his cousin Kyle’s wedding to his lovely bride, Amanda! What a perfect way to kick off the month of October!

The nuptials were outdoors at the 1911 Established Distillery– and although I’m a big fan of greys, deep reds/oranges and caramel hues this time of year- I opted to go a little green with my dress with this sage-colored, tiered and magically flowing midi dress from Lauren Conrad.

Embellished with cream colored and somewhat faint-looking polka dots- this dress has a little bit of stretch to it- which means it’s comfortable and flattering whether I’m drinking champagne or dancing (or both. Usually both, honestly.)

I paired this one with pointed, faux-leather and cream-colored heels- and given that the night was more than likely going to be brisk when the sun went down- I also grabbed this knitted and slightly over-sized cream-colored cardigan to drape over my shoulders and neck so I wouldn’t get too chilly.

I felt super pretty, super comfy and very Fall-esque throughout the afternoon and well into the evening- and although I may not have many more formal occasions this Autumn to wear this one again- it’ll also be a great number to take out of the closet when Spring rolls back around next year!
