OOTD: Palmy and Balmy

I know that by December I’m going to be longing for and actively looking forward to being in a hotter climate again- but I don’t think I’m asking for too much when I say- “can Mother Nature chill just a little bit?”

I’m not talking the need for non-stop snowstorms or frost or anything- because that’s just the opposite end of a spectrum of awfulness- but maybe more than a couple of days at a time of cooler temperatures in New England so we can all give our air conditioners and ice machines a much-needed break! I know Fall isn’t too far away, but I’m starting to worry I might actually melt into a puddle before we get there.

Last Friday afternoon/evening was, miraculously, ideal- warm (not stifling!) and breezy- and with a spectacular sunset over the Pioneer Valley. My dear friend/photographer Dan and I, both having finished our work at a normal hour- decided to celebrate by meeting for drinks in Northampton since it didn’t hurt to just exist and breathe outdoors for the first time in what felt like forever!

I kept it casual and comfortable- which has been a priority with temperatures soaring as of late- with the exception of this under $10 tropical, palm-leaf-print swimsuit cover-up I threw on over my black tank top and white lace shorts to add some color and a Summery vibe to my outfit.

With a bright pink lip and some gold jewelry- I was ready to hit the town. Also? I’m living for my neon/highlighter yellow nail polish. I have to have at least one manicure/pedicure with this shade every Summer.

And many, many thanks to The Green Room in Northampton for serving us chilly, refreshing cocktails to keep us cool while we hung out. The pineapple daiquiri might have been the most delicious thing I’ve ever tasted!
