OOTD: A Romantic Lounge…

What do you do when your good friend and photographer is quarantining and recovering from COVID? Set up the ol’ tripod and hope for the best with the tools you have available! Before I start talking about Valentine’s Day and holiday-inspired loungewear- I just want to send healing vibes and good thoughts to my buddy, Dan. Feel better soon!

For the past couple of years, I’ve talked about treating Valentine’s Day as a self-care/self-appreciation day- despite whatever my relationship status was at the time. I eat good food, I watch a couple of romantic, tearjerker movies (I shamelessly love ‘The Notebook.’ Truly a classic!) I treat myself to flowers of chocolates- or, if time allows- I’ll do some pampering with a facial or a massage at my local spa.

Since Valentine’s Day falls on a Monday this year, I will be working from home for the day- and given that I can’t take off for that aforementioned pampering- I decided to spend the day in brand new pajamas/loungewear. This two-piece, heart-printed shorts and button up shirt set from Victoria’s Secret recently caught my eye while I was picking up some new bralettes, and I opted to splurge a little extra so I could take these home for the upcoming holiday, too.

These pajamas are super soft, totally breathable and really, really cute. The only thing I wish they’d done with the design is make the buttons little red hearts, too- but it’s a minor detail I can easily overlook given how comfortable I know I’m going to be in these on Valentine’s Day after I get done working from the comfort of my bedroom, order some take-out- and settle in for a long evening of the best of the best RomComs Netflix has to offer!

Now I just need those big, fluffy slipper socks to match!
