And I’m back! After an absolutely fantastic, fun and much-needed vacation in Nevada last week- I’m presently getting re-acclimated and caught up at work and readjusting to being back home on the East Coast. I’ll have the full recap (with plenty of photos!) up within a couple of days, but before I do- I wanted to share some of my favorite things from this past month since March is coming to a close a little later on this week. Where does the time go?
This month’s assortment of products/gifts and miscellaneous odds & ends were all about self-care, bettering my health in small and easy ways- and enjoying a little pampering- as well as revisiting some old favorites from years’ past in the form of new television series/streaming shows.
As always, I’ll share the things I could snap photos of before I dive into the other random bits and pieces that have been making March quite an enjoyable month so far- and I’ll include helpful links and additional information for anyone who may be interested in checking out the products/items for themselves, too.
So without further delay, let’s get started!

I knew I wanted to start this month’s “Favorites” post with this product/service- and I’m so excited to finally have the time and the opportunity to talk about it. I’ve always tried to remain diligent with taking vitamins, from the time I was a kid up until now- because I take my health very seriously (especially now in the midst of a global pandemic) and want to improve not only how I feel but how I look, as well.
It can be tricky, however- when certain vitamins don’t give you the results you’d hope to see/feel- even if you’ve been taking them for a considerable amount of time. I always wanted my regimen to feel more personal and customized to me and my concerns/goals.
So when I received a coupon from Care/of, a personalized vitamin delivery service- I figured I’d give it a shot- and now I don’t think I’ll ever look back. The process is super easy- you create a profile and answer a series of questions regarding your health/daily routine and your goals regarding desired results. For example, I was concerned with how dry my hair has been feeling and how brittle my nails have been in recent months.
From there, Care/of curates a collection of vitamins, supplements, powders and chews to address your concerns. They come in individual packs in an easy-to-store and biodegradable case and with instructions on how and when to take them. The vitamins auto-refill every 30 or so days (so you never run out!) and can be adjusted or cancelled at any time should your concerns/goals change. You also get free access to the Care/of App- where you can set a reminder on when to take the vitamins, track your progress, earn redeemable points, etc.
I absolutely LOVE the service- and have been recommending it to anyone and everyone who is looking for a convenient way to get some extra help with reaching their health and fitness goals in 2021.

I’ve also been taking extra special care of my eyelashes this past month- focusing on strengthening and lengthening them so that mascara isn’t a necessity each and every single time I venture out into public. To achieve those show-stopping results I love so much- I’ve turned to Jolie Beauty’s RidicuLash serum in the mornings and at night before bed- and it’s been working extraordinarily well!
I actually wrote about my results in a recent post– and since then- there’s’ been even more noticeable changes in the fullness and length of my lashes. I have a follow-up post planned soon, for anyone who may be looking for a visual of a month or more of daily use- but I have been beyond impressed leading up to now! My eyes are really all anyone can see since I’m masked up 99.9% of the time- but I’m confident they look amazing thanks to the little extra TLC the serum has provided!

While in Nevada, Troy drove in from his home in California to visit me and to see Las Vegas for the first time. I was all too happy to be a tour guide for a first-time visitor- but one of our stops was the most unexpected (at least for me, anyway!)
Troy is a big fan of Creed cologne, so while in Caesars Palace- he saw their boutique within the Forum Shops and asked if we could poke around for a bit. Little did I know he was buying me a gift, and on our last night before he headed back to work and I headed back to see Kelsey’s family one more time before my departure home- he presented me with a bottle of Creed’s Aventus for Her- a fruit and floral combination he knows I am obsessed with.
I am still absolutely stunned. It’s a gorgeous fragrance in a very pretty bottle that I want to wear all the time- and definitely for special occasions. I’ll probably spritz some of this on to celebrate whenever I become eligible for the COVID-19 vaccination- just to make it an extra fancy affair.

And finally, another gift from Troy- this one a surprise I received in the mail in the days leading up to my trip to Nevada. After jokingly referring to me as the “Queen of Everything” during a conversation earlier this month, he’d found the most regal of teacups (and spoons!) for me to use while embracing my new title.
His creativity and generosity never fails to astound me- and I’ve been keeping this little set on my stove so I can admire it every morning while I make my coffee before work or when I’m getting ready to run errands. It’s the cutest.
That’s all I have for the easy-to-photograph products/items, but a couple of other things made this month’s list- as well!
– Music/Movies/Television –
“The Falcon and The Winter Soldier” – Bucky Barnes/The Winter Soldier remains one of my favorite MCU characters, and I was so excited when this series was first announced. It premiered earlier this month (with new episodes dropping every Friday) and although we’re only a couple of episodes in so far- I think it’s fantastic.
Action-packed, but with plenty of drama and a good measure of humor mixed in- it’s a great continuation of Bucky and Sam’s stories following the aftermath and the events laid out in “Avengers: Endgame.”
“The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers” – This one just narrowly made the bracket for my March 2021 favorites given that it only premiered on Disney+ this past Friday- but after watching the pilot episode and cracking up more than once- I think I can safely say I’m a fan and will continue watching well into April. This one is less action-packed than The Falcon and The Winter Soldier– but it’s got plenty of drama, humor and touching, family-friendly moments.
It also has Emilio Estevez- and who doesn’t love that?
– Miscellaneous –
Starbucks’ Iced Brown Sugar Oatmilk & Iced Chocolate Almondmilk Shaken Espressos – This is a silly one, but my daily Starbucks trips helped me function normally in the desert- and these new additions (which use dairy alternatives) were delicious and strong- so I felt energized and refreshed without the shakes or the stomach pain. I was able to adjust to the time zone difference AND keep up with two toddlers- so I’m a big fan of these and I hope they stay on the menu for the foreseeable future.
And that just about does it for my March 2021 Favorites! A pretty good, and definitely unique mix of things, I think.
I can’t wait to see what makes the list in April when Spring is in full bloom!
