It’s been quite a while (last August, actually!) since I’ve taken a few days off from both working and from blogging to simply just rest, relax and visit somewhere new and exciting or familiar and comforting- and I’m about due for a little vacation to a place that meets all of those criteria.
Beginning tomorrow and running through the following weekend- I’m going to be packing my bags and heading to the always fabulous and fun Las Vegas, Nevada for an extended visit with Kelsey’s family after a precautionary quarantine and lots of pre-flight safety protocols to ensure both my loved ones and myself will be safe amid the ongoing pandemic.
I’m looking forward to seeing the kids, the desert, and parts of the Strip again- while fully masked and without getting too close to anyone else, of course- while I’m in town, as well as seeing a couple of other familiar faces who will also be stopping by Nevada for a socially distanced hello.
And I intend to unplug while I’m there (save for a few social media selfies- as is tradition) so that I can truly be present and enjoy every moment that I’m there. That means that there won’t be any new content here on “Coffee & Chiffon” next week- but I’ll be back up and posting again as usual on Monday, March 29th!
