Although February is, of course, the shortest month of the year – I’m still a little dumbfounded that it’s ending in just a couple of days. It feels like it was just yesterday I was getting my Valentine’s Day décor out of storage to spruce up my apartment for the month, and now I’m tasked with having to put it all away again at some point next week after we’ve officially headed into March!
I digress. This month is short for sure, but it was also very, very sweet this year – with time spent with friends, family, football, great food and more snow than I’ve seen in ages. We got absolutely buried up here in the Northeast, with more on the way next week, it looks like – so March is shaping up to be a month of shoveling, as well!
But before I look ahead to March and what I have planned (other than digging myself out of snow, obviously) I want to pay proper respects to this past month and all the wonderful memories I made throughout it.
I had started February in Boston, where I’d wrote about one of my favorite chocolate shops to pick up Galentine’s Day gifts, but I’d also highlighted a really beautiful concert experience and a one-of-a-kind exhibit I’d experienced while I was in the neighborhood.
I shared an appetizer recipe leading up to the Super Bowl, although that weekend in itself turned into one of self-care and little treats when I wasn’t yelling at my TV or dancing along to the Bad Bunny halftime show.
I shared my current Wintertime skin/hair care products, wore pops of red in honor of Valentine’s Day, and celebrated the actual holiday weekend itself with beautiful gifts, a candle-making class, and then had back-to-back Lunar New Year and Fat Tuesday parties that I’m still dreaming of!
And pre-blizzard-to-end-all-blizzards, I shared a quick and easy seafood pasta recipe and wrote about one of my favorite cafés that is tucked away on the back roads of Granby, Connecticut. All in all it was a successful, productive month despite the seemingly non-stop inclement weather!

In looking ahead to March, and trying to manifest Spring as much as possible while doing so, I’ve got more local (and possibly not-so-local!) travel planned, my boyfriend is coming to visit for a couple of weeks at the beginning of the month which will undoubtedly lead to some great adventures I’m looking forward to writing about, and I’ll be sharing plenty more recipes and outfits along the way!
So here’s a toast to February – a romantic month filled with whimsical moments and a lot of gratitude – and to March being just as abundant with happiness, warmth, and joyful reasons to celebrate.
Have a great weekend, everyone! Lots of love to each of you!
