August is always such a bittersweet month to me. While I am undoubtedly and unapologetically excited for all the things I have planned in the Fall – I also adore the Summertime, especially as a lifelong New Englander – and August serves as a reminder that the season is coming to an end, time is fleeting, etc. I always try to make this month just a little more special than June and July so that I can look back on what I hope is a wonderful conclusion to the season.
And August 2025 was special indeed!
I had started this month with a spectacular and fashionable guest post before taking some time to enjoy rainy-day-car-picnics, SummerSlam in Salem, and Sunday afternoons at Rhode Island wineries.
I shared the latest additions to my seasonal skincare/hair care collection before it was time to head off for a long weekend on the Cape with my girlfriends for our annual Summer getaway! I had the absolute best time, and I’m already excited for the trip we’ve just started putting together for next August! We’ve got a location in mind, and some activities to consider – and I love that we’re being so proactive!
I wrote about one of my favorite shops on the Cape before it was time to return home to Western Massachusetts and drink in some sunflowers and cheeseburgers.
And I just began winding down the month with a day trip to both Newport and Providence, Rhode Island for high tea and birthday celebrations for one of my friends – all in-between sharing peeks into my closet and into my kitchen where I did plenty of cooking and baking, of course!
Overall, my August was booked and busy in all the best ways, and was the perfect way to wrap up the Summer. I spent so much quality time with my friends and family, visited new places, tried new experiences, saw so many beautiful sunsets and ate so much amazing food. I couldn’t ask for anything more!
So, what do I have up my sleeve for September? Well, later on today I’ll be catching a flight out to Las Vegas to spend some time with Troy since we haven’t had a proper vacation together since we visited Italy in May. I can’t say I’ve ever kicked off the Fall in the desert before, but I’m excited to see what happens!
And I’ll have plenty of New England-based Autumnal adventures and locations to share too, of course! I’ve got a whole itinerary of places to visit and things to do for my favorite season, and I’ll be sharing all of it here!
But first, here’s to August – and to Summer of 2025 in all it’s sunny, beautiful and exciting glory. I hope that September and the Fall is filled with just as much fun, joy, laughter and pleasant surprises!
See you all next week!
