A Month to Remember: September 2024

It goes without saying that I’m very excited for October and all the things I have planned during it. It’s my favorite month with my favorite holiday (Halloween!) and I’ve got a lot of spooky events with friends and local lore/destinations to write about here on ‘Coffee & Chiffon‘ throughout the next few weeks – but before we officially kick things off tomorrow – I want to give a proper send-off and put together a little tribute to September 2024, because it truly was a month to remember and one I’ll be looking back on fondly for years to come!

I had started my September while still on an extended stay in the West Coast, where I shared updates from the road in places like Las Vegas and among the redwoods in Northern California. I also finally got to spend at night at the famous Madonna Inn this past month, which was a pink and glittery dream come true and the perfect way to kick off the month and the beginnings of a new season!

Once I returned to New England and got back to my usual time zone and schedule, I dove head-first into all things Fall, with visits to my favorite local pumpkin patch and checking out a new magic-themed hot chocolate bar in Mystic, Connecticut that had plenty of Autumnal dΓ©cor and gifts.

And as the month began to wind down, I picked up even more pumpkins for my apartment at my local farm stand and had one last late-night BBQ and fireworks display n celebration of the Town of Barre’s 250th anniversary before it was time to get ready to head to Maryland this past weekend for what I think will be the final outdoor music festival I’ll be attending this year – and I’ll have the recap and photos from that up on the blog a little later on this week!

And all of these trips and activities were in-between sharing seasonal recipes and some of my newer Autumnal ensembles, of course.

Overall, this past month has been magic – and I’m truly grateful and blessed that I got to spend so much of it in all sorts of different locations around the country. I’ll never forget the experiences I had and the memories I made throughout these last few weeks.

Looking ahead to October, I’m excited to check out a Jack-O-Lantern trail out in the Berkshires that I’d never seen before until now a little later on this week, as well as participate in a couple of horror movie nights with my girlfriends and showcase some more of New England’s more bizarre and macabre locations (of which we have many!)

And of course I’ll be sharing plenty of photos and history along the way!

But here’s a much-deserved cheers and a tip of my wide-brimmed Fall hat to September of 2024 – because it was one of the best – and I hope October is just as much fun and full of adventures for all of us!
