OOTD: Royal Blush

I have started the gradual and imminent rotation of my wardrobe/closet in recent days, beginning the process of packing up my sweater and jacket collection to put back into storage for a few months and making way for more skirts, cardigans, and flowing/billowy tops. That’s not to say I’m putting everything away right now, of course- we’re still getting snow and have some more flurries coming our way later on this week!- but it’s less I’ll have to unpack and hang up by the time we get into April and May!

One of the pieces I’m most excited to wear, and got the chance to do so over this past weekend while I was in Northampton, is this salmon pink/coral suede jacket from Steve Madden. Heavy enough to wear on colder or breezier days (but not too heavy) and with a series of zipper and button accents to give it some subtle flair- I had been waiting all Fall and Winter to bring this one out of hiding after it was sent to me last year!

I figured what better time to show it off than while at Smith College’s Botanical Garden? It certainly matched most of the blooms that were around me- and when paired with jeans and a plain white sweater- I was looking and feeling like a Spring day in this one!

This jacket is so soft and so pretty- and I’m looking forward to wearing it through the Spring- whenever Spring gets here, that is! Coral hues are some of my favorite to wear in the warmer weather, be it with my clothing, accessories or makeup- and I’m sure I’ll find more combinations and ways to dress this one up and/or down (depending on the occasion!) in the coming weeks ahead!
