Happy Black Friday and Unofficial Food Coma Recovery Day, everyone! I hope you all had an amazing Thanksgiving holiday and that this ongoing long weekend has been sensational so far! I myself have had an absolutely beautiful, wonderful couple of days- filled with so much love, laughter and mashed potatoes- but I plan on diving into and fully recapping everything next week before we head into December and begin preparing for Christmas and the New Year!
Today I thought I’d talk about a couple of my favorite products, purchases and odds & ends that have helped make November- a hectic and up-in-the-air month if there ever was one- much easier, enjoyable and pleasant for me, instead.
This month’s list is much shorter than October’s was, and will likely pale in comparison to the assortment of items I’ll likely talk about near the end of December- but it’s still a quality collection and one I’m excited to share!
So let’s get right into it!

Some of you may remember me talking about my love of Truly Beauty’s CBD-infused skincare line when I was sharing my Fall 2021 collection of skin and hair care products that were saving both my complexion and my curls, but another product- an accidental purchase since I had thought it was a facial cleanser while hurrying through Ulta- made the list for this month since it’s just as extraordinary.
This CBD Jelly body wash has made my Fall/Winter skin- including tougher areas like my elbows and knees- so much more soft and clear since I started using it. This entire line has blown me away and I know I’m going to be gifting bottles of this lifesaver to my friends and family, too!

Another slam dunk that went just under the radar this month was the “Pippa Pumpkin” plumping lip polish from Buxom, which was gifted to me a couple of weeks ago and has been on my lips pretty much every day since. The beautiful, neutral pink/nude shade is perfect for work or for nights out during this holiday season- it gives my lips a multi-dimensional level of shine- and it definitely plumps them up for a while with every application! I’m addicted to that stinging/tingle sensation.
It also smells like pumpkin- so what’s not to love?
A couple of good finds for this month for sure- but I’ve got some other favorite things, too!
– Music/Movies/Television –
- Cowboy Bebop – I know that diehard fans of the animated series (I loved it, too!) are probably going to give me grief for this one- but I actually enjoyed the live action Netflix series that premiered earlier this month. It’s crazy, and silly, and it stars John Cho- always a plus- and even though it strays pretty far from it’s source material or the overall “dark mood” of the cartoon, it was still a fun watch during a tumultuous month.
- The Always Sunny Podcast – “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” is one of my favorite shows, so earlier this month when Glenn Howerton, Charlie Day and Rob McElhenney (Dennis, Charlie and Mac, respectively) went live with a podcast that revisits the creative process and behind-the-scenes tidbits episode by episode- I knew I was going to love it. It’s super funny- and has made my morning/evening commutes a little more fun.
And that just about does it for my favorite things for this month! I’m getting ready to go do a little shopping, eat some leftovers, and prepare for the weekend ahead- but I’ll be back next week with some more festive and holiday-inspired posts!
