OOTD: Springtime Romp

Pre-pandemic, back in the days of outdoor weekend brunches with friends in the Spring and Summer or cookouts with my family- I always kept it comfortable and casual. Shorts and a t-shirt, maybe a nice sun dress- but my favorite go-to was always a cute and/or colorful romper with my favorite pair of sandals or sneakers. Not too “just rolled out of bed” levels of cozy- but not overtly fancy, either- rompers are easy enough to dress up or down depending on the occasion and the company.

So now, with things continuing to gradually re-open and mask mandates loosening up a bit within the last few days- I thought I’d wear one for old times sake while I was out grabbing lunch during a particularly beautiful afternoon we recently had here in the Pioneer Valley. This sleeveless black and white striped romper, with a subtle front-tie (and actual pockets!) from ReoRia- via Amazon– is one of my favorites.

Stretchy and with a non-constricting scoop neckline- this romper is fun to play up with bright, colorful jewelry or hair accessories- although I kept it simple when I wore it this past time- just bringing a black cardigan along with me that was within my reach whenever there was a gust of wind or the sun would disappear behind a cloud or two.

This style of romper comes in a variety of colors/patterns, and I’m thinking I’ll expand my collection now that Summer is just around the corner and those outdoor weekend brunches may be starting up again (finally!) They’re great to have on hand and always look so chic this time of year.

And I’m definitely bringing this one back to Vegas with me again next week. I wore it during my last trip and there is nothing more comfortable to have on in the desert!
