It’s not very often that people buy me clothes that I end up wearing out and about very often. Sure, my friends and I are known to gift each other the occasional funny t-shirt as a gag or a destination/tourism piece/accessory when we travel somewhere cool or unique, but for the most part – I’m responsible for my own wardrobe in my adulthood since I know the right sizes, the right cuts and fits, and the right types of fabric that make me look and feel my best.
But every once in a while someone will take a chance and knock it out of the park in the best way possible. Case in point, this absolutely beautiful white, semi-sparkly sun dress my boyfriend Troy picked up for me while he was traveling through Glenwood Springs, Colorado a few weeks ago while making his way back to home to New England. He’d been sending me photos/videos throughout his journey, and as he came across a pretty little street lined with boutiques and restaurants during a quick stop for coffee, I mentioned one storefront in particular looked absolutely lovely.
That storefront had this dress in it’s display window – and now it’s mine!
I recently wore this out during a day trip to Cape Cod. Troy had also picked up the blue, floral belt to go with the dress since he knows I like little pops of color here and there, and I completed the look with this knotted headband from Rifle Paper Co. since it had little blue hydrangeas printed all over it. It’s all about the details, after all!

I’m going to get so much more wear out of this dress before the season is over. It’s so comfortable, it’s lined, and since it’s white with some sparkle to it – it matches so many fun things I have in my Summer wardrobe and can be perfect for day or night!
Best boyfriend ever? Best boyfriend ever!
