All The Autumnal Activities…

Happy First (Official) Day of Fall, everyone! While I’m back to work bright and early this morning – what a beautiful and busy weekend I had – filled with plenty of sunshine, great food, shopping and pumpkin picking!

On Friday afternoon once I’d finished work for the day, Dan and I headed to Galaxy in Easthampton to grab a cocktail and a bite to eat to kick our weekends off the right way. Their sweet potato and smoked bacon soup was out of this world (no pun intended) and closing out the meal with an espresso custard served with a big, super soft chocolate chip cookie was 1000% the right call.

We took a detour through Historic Deerfield on our way back to our apartment building and managed to see some of the seasonal décor even though the sun had long since set – specifically by the Deerfield Inn. It looked like the area was getting ready for their annual craft fair that took place over the weekend, and everyone wanted to look their Autumnal best!

On Saturday, I met up with my mom to grab coffee and lunch, and pick up some new Fall decorations for both my apartment and her house. After I’d found some replacement bath towels (with the cutest gourdes printed on them!) and glassware for my kitchen, we closed out the afternoon at Yankee Candle to grab some fragrances, too – because it’s simply not Fall until I have the Apple Pumpkin candle burning in my bedroom! It smells divine!

And then on Sunday, with Oliver scheduled for a full spa day with his groomer to get bathed, clipped and pampered – my mom and I set out together yet again for some window shopping in town, a stop at Hebert’s Candy Mansion to stock up on chocolate bars and check out their Halloween display, and finally – participate in some pumpkin picking until it was time to scoop up my fur baby and bring him home to watch some football and have some snacks!

We swung by Stowe Farm in Millbury, not far from the groomer’s, and a place neither one of us had ever been before. While there, we sampled some apple cider slushies, saw some seriously huge and friendly horses, and picked out the perfect pumpkins to bring to our homes at the end of the day. The farm has a lot of seasonal activities for kids and adults alike, is super kid-friendly, and has both a beer garden and a performance area where you can listen to live music. We had so much fun – and it was a great way to close out the weekend!

And despite the scowl on his face (presumably because he missed out on seeing the horses at the farm) – Oliver looked and felt so much better when I picked him up at the end of the afternoon!

A little later on this week, I’m going to be sharing another Fall-inspired dress I’ve been wearing out and about lately, as well as give a glimpse into some of my favorite things from this month!

Stay tuned!
