This past weekend involved a lot of driving, but even more time spent with some of my favorite people and at some of my favorite destinations – specifically when heading out towards The Berkshires! While I had only a couple of very specific plans for this weekend, I left the rest up to the weather, my car, and in many ways – fate itself!
While my Saturday was all about recording podcast episodes and enjoying some incredible food with Stef at her in-home studio (something we both still love doing very, very much!) my Sunday was a bit more spontaneous. After doing some early morning errands before my work-week kicked off on Monday, like laundry and grocery shopping – I found my way over to Charlemont to visit the incredible folks over at Wells Provisions, who were hosting their monthly pop-up!
After enjoying what is undoubtedly my favorite chicken sandwich of all time, I browsed their new antique section/collaboration near the back of the store – which had so many gorgeous things like jewelry, glassware, furniture and paintings for sale.
After lunch, I drove a little further west through North Adams and ultimately into Williamstown just as the weather started to get a bit unpredictable, with thunderstorms moving through the area. I’d eventually pulled over by the Williams College Museum of Art to check the radar, answer texts and ultimately stretch my legs before the storm got too close – and took some time to photograph their eyeball sculpture garden that sits on their campus along Route 2.
And before heading back to my apartment, I made a final quick stop by the recently renovated and re-opened Bridge of Flowers in Shelburne Falls! Although the lighting fixtures are still being put in within the next few days and there’s a ribbon-cutting ceremony planned for August 18th – it’s looking great so far!
I snapped a few photos before it was time to settle down for my evening and get ready for everything I’ve got planned during this week.
