Before I zip up my suitcase one more time in preparation for my flight tomorrow afternoon, I had just a few more things left to pack that I’ll need for my trip – things that will help keep my skin glowing and safe in the sun, and things that will also help keep my hair nourished and hydrated in what I anticipate will be a dramatic change in both climate and temperature!
That’s right – it’s time for my Springtime skincare/hair care roundup for 2025 – and this season has been all about keeping my curls moisturized, soft, and tangle-free now that the humidity is back to make things extra frizzy, all while simultaneously making sure my pores are free of excess oil, dirt and makeup.
These are the products I’ve been using over these past few weeks as we’ve slowly but surely emerged from the frigid, snowy days of winter and have entered into the more hot, humid and rainy days of Spring/Early Summer here in New England. I’ve included links for anyone who wants to check them out – as well as links to my past collections!

My skin tends to go a little wild in the “Transitional Months” (i.e. Spring and Fall) when my region begins a drastic and dramatic change from either extreme heat to extreme cold, or vice versa. It’s always a period of adjustment where I have to fine-tune the products I use on a regular basis to keep my combination skin functioning normally and at maximum efficiency – and this time of year usually sees me utilizing clay masks and gentle scrubs regularly.
And while I use a SPF every single day regardless of the weather or what I have planned – I especially start slathering on the sunscreen a little more often throughout the Spring and Summer since I’m usually spending a lot more time outdoors and at the beach!
- Oil Absorbing Clay Mask: BYROE Peach Kombucha Tea Purifying Clay Mask [ $65 – MORE INFO ]
- Daily Scrub: Cetaphil Extra Gentle Face Scrub [ $9 – MORE INFO ]
- Sunscreen: Vacation SPF50 Classic Lotion [ $15 – MORE INFO ]

Similarly, the change in seasons means that I have to take extra care of my curls, too – since non-stop rain and humidity can take a good hair day and turn it into into a puffy, unruly hassle. Part of that involves using conditioning, smoothing products during my hair wash days – including rich masks and specialty-formulated shampoos.
This season, I’ve found I’ve gotten great results with the trio above – even on the windiest, wettest days!
- Shampoo: Raw Sugar The Truly Unruly Shampoo [ $11.99 – MORE INFO ]
- Conditioner: Raw Sugar The Truly Unruly Conditioner [ $11.99 – MORE INFO ]
- Weekly Repair Mask: Raw Sugar Mighty Curls Mask [ $11.99 – MORE INFO ]
And there we have it – another installment in the books! All of these products can be ordered online, of course – but they’re also available at ULTA and most local pharmacies, too!
