Any weekend where I can take some time to actually unwind, rest, and enjoy the simple pleasure of not having set, specific plans is a win in my book – and I thoroughly appreciate and enjoy them as they are far and few between in my adulthood. Although I began the process of doing some much-needed Spring cleaning this past weekend (a project that will likely conclude this coming weekend as I tackle more and more spaces in my apartment each day this week!) – I also had the opportunity to simply chill out with friends and loved ones and surrounded by good food.
On Saturday morning, I hit pause on my reorganization of my kitchen and joined Dan at Wells Provisions’ recent pop-up in Charlemont for breakfast. I had one of the best egg sandwiches ever, a refreshing vanilla cold brew, and split an order of NOLA-inspired poutine fries that were absolutely amazing. I’m sure I’ve said it before – but I never miss one of their pop-ups if I can help it! The food is always life-changing and the family that run Wells Provisions are some of the nicest people around New England. I will support them anywhere they go!

On Sunday, I took another break to head back home to spend some time with my mom and Oliver – who are also starting their own seasonal Spring cleaning journey (moreso my mom, since Oliver is my furry little couch potato.) We went for a drive since the weather was beautiful this past weekend, and made stops at the legendary Hot Dog Annie’s in Leicester and a local ice cream shop so Oliver could indulge in a vanilla “Pup Cup” for being such a good boy.
And now today, I’m back to work (and back to cleaning) while it flurries outside – but I’m getting ready to wind down March with some of my monthly “best of” posts and another quick “Local Loves” installment planned for this coming Wednesday!
But here’s to a successful and very relaxing weekend! I love when I get to have them!
