Happy Valentine’s Day, everyone! Although this will be another year where Troy and I will be celebrating our relationship and all things love and romance from opposite sides of the country, that doesn’t mean I can’t treat myself to some of the typical fanfare that comes with today’s holiday – like taking myself out to a nice dinner, buying myself some flowers to brighten up my apartment, or indulging in some premium sweets.
For said sweets, I recently stopped by Tangle Chocolate in Williamsburg, Massachusetts with Dan to both pick up some of their signature thinly-sliced chocolate pieces as a present for my mom, and to sit and enjoy a seasonal strawberry hot chocolate off of their drink menu (frothed to perfection and served with a sliver of their chocolate flavor of the day!)
The café, formerly a gas station and autobody shop, has been completely remodeled into a bright and beautiful space that gets a ton of sunlight and is so cozy to sit in and enjoy your beverage/chocolate of choice, get some work done, or simply just relax with friends. Dan and I were able to catch up with one another and chat with the staff – who are so unbelievably friendly and accommodating! – and watch as the sun began to set through the large front windows.
And if the tastiness of the chocolate and café options weren’t enough to keep me there – and believe me, they were! – then their beautiful Valentine’s Day décor certainly was. Some of you may have seen a peek at it in my post from earlier this week, but I couldn’t stop snapping photos. It was gorgeous!
My mom and I have another “Girls Day” scheduled soon when the next round of snowstorms finishes rolling through New England, and I have a feeling I’ll be swinging her by Tangle so she can experience it for herself. I know she’d absolutely love it!
Here’s wishing all of you who are celebrating a wonderful Valentine’s Day! I hope it’s filled with roses, wine, chocolate and quality time with your special someone!
See you all next week!
