I adore Shelburne Falls. It’s a place I’ve written about frequently here on ‘Coffee & Chiffon‘ since it’s only about 20 minutes away from my apartment and it’s a picturesque little village with a lot to do and see – even with it’s main attraction, the famed Bridge of Flowers, currently undergoing some long overdue maintenance.
So when Dan and I found ourselves in the area while on our way back from trying to locate a nearby, somewhat remote tree farm for some post-snowstorm photos – we were famished – and while there are plenty of locations along Shelburne Falls’ main strip to grab a bite to eat, a new spot we’d never seen before with an adorably decorated front-facing window display caught our attention.
HOTFIRE Bar & Grill, located on Bridge Street, has been open for about several months now according to the lovely staff members we interacted with during our visit. They serve a variety of sandwiches, sides, burgers, and cocktails – and everything is cooked fresh and with some of the friendliest service that just adds to Shelburne Falls’ already established and beloved smalltown charm.
Dan and I split a serving of macaroni and cheese and while he enjoyed a Cubano sandwich, I all but devoured a spicy chicken sandwich that was absolutely delicious. While we were eating, the snow started falling again – and it made for the prettiest view of the street outside during our lunch.

We made sure to grab some hot chocolate (not any of the boozy options that were available, by the way – just a classic cup of cocoa!) before we hit the road for more of our stroll through the neighborhood, but we promised the staff we’d be back soon. There were so many things on their menu we wanted to try!
