While I’m recovering from my food coma that took hold of me last night post-Thanksgiving feast with my family and simultaneously preparing to meet up with Stef for a Black Friday Brunch over in Deerfield this morning, I thought I’d take the opportunity to put together my full recap of this past month that was – and give November a proper send-off before it’s time to get into December, Christmastime, and these final weeks of 2024!
We’re in the home stretch, y’all!
I had kicked off November with some residual Halloweeny-ness, writing about a couple of spooky attractions and events I had visited in both Stockbridge and Boston before sharing the considerably less scary skincare & hair care regimen I’ve been following throughout the Fall.
Of course, the beginning of this month also marked the end of the election cycle and the early stages of what I anticipate will be a very surreal and stressful four years ahead, but the devastating blow was softened with Troy’s supportive presence as he had flown in shortly before the polls closed for an impromptu visit – just in time for his birthday! We visited museums and one of our favorite restaurants in the Berkshires during his stay, which felt far too short before he had to head back to the West Coast for work.
I got to see the Bruins win at TD Garden earlier this month, share what I’m grateful for in preparation for Thanksgiving, and finally got around to writing about my long-time favorite hair salon and spa now that they’re all decorated for the season – and that was all in-between sharing holiday-inspired dishes and colder weather outfits throughout these past few weeks.
And perhaps one of the biggest things to happen in November was that I finally bought a brand new car! I know I’ve mentioned it a few times in recent posts, but I’m completely obsessed with it. I can’t help it! It’s so nice to have something safe and reliable, especially as we get closer to the colder, Winter months and I’ll need to be able to drive with confidence.
And now when December just a couple of days away, life and things here at ‘Coffee & Chiffon‘ are going to get a lot busier! There’s still holiday shopping to be done, parties and festive gatherings to attend, and plenty of reflection on 2024 as it comes to a close in the coming weeks ahead. I’ll be sharing photos and recaps along the way leading up to the New Year – including snapshots of some of New England’s most unique and beautiful seasonal spots!
So here’s a tip of the cap to November, because even though parts of it were stressful for sure, it was still a month of changes, growth and new chapters – and that’s always something worth celebrating these days.
And cheers to this coming December. I hope it’s filled with magic and creating wonderful, festive memories with those we all hold near and dear to us.
See you all next week!
