I’m not one to typically “gatekeep” cool and unique locations, businesses and beautiful destinations in around around New England or when I travel out of the Northeast. It’s not my style, since I want to support small shops and local scenes as much as I can – so I’m quite surprised with myself that I haven’t shared this long-time favorite (we’re talking 20+ years here!) salon & spa near where I grew up before now. Especially since it’s still the only place I travel to when I get my hair touched up or have my skin refreshed via dermaplaning every few weeks!
Ultimate Touch, located in Webster, Massachusetts – is a two-story spa/salon tucked away in what used to be a house off of East Main Street. While the first floor has been converted into a beautiful and spotless hair salon for as long as I can remember, the second floor (former) bedroom areas have been transformed into state of the art (and so relaxing!) treatment rooms – where you can get manicures/pedicures, facials, massages, waxes, and newer procedures like permanent makeup applications.
I first went to Ultimate Touch when I was about 15 years old and when I needed some help getting both my eyebrows and my acne-prone skin under control. Since then, their knowledgeable, friendly staff (who are like an extension of my own family at this point!) have seen me through so many phases of my life – from when they helped me achieve my bleached blonde look when I was still in high school, to when I decided to chop all of my hair off into a bob, to talking me out of getting bangs and to helping me maintain my current red curls I’ve embraced as my “true” hair color over these last few years. I’ve always left the salon feeling beautiful, well taken care of, and loving my color/cut.
And despite the fact that I now live on the opposite side of the state, I always look forward to my scheduled visits once a month and have never minded the commute for an afternoon of pampering. I was just there earlier this week for my November root refresh and a brow touch-up before Thanksgiving, and was especially excited to see how lovely their space has been decorated for the upcoming holidays!
They also occasionally have seasonal-inspired treatments (like holiday-themed facials or mani/pedis) that I always look forward to indulging in whenever I see them advertised!
