Cider, Celebrations and Cheeseburgers…

I had mentioned in my last post (where I shared a fantastic pasta recipe!) that the bulk of this past weekend had been spent going to various farmer’s markets, fairs and festivals – including Fall celebrations, craft exchanges, and art shows. It’s the perfect time of year for outdoor activities and get togethers here in New England since it’s finally become consistently and comfortably crisp outside!

Perhaps one of the biggest and best, however – was the celebration I attended on Saturday night with Stef and Andy after we got done recording the season premiere of our podcast (it’s available now, so be sure not to miss it!) Once we got done sharing a couple of recipes and doing some planning for an upcoming “Spooky Season Girls Night” our group of friends is putting together for next weekend, we headed to Stone Cow Brewery in Barre for the town’s 250th Anniversary Party!

It’s been a minute since I’ve stopped by Stone Cow, mainly because the place is almost always packed to capacity each time I’ve driven by, but when I do visit – it’s always been a good experience! They have a great selection of hard ciders and some seriously amazing food options.

And for the town’s birthday, they went all out – with a ton of BBQ and pizza choices and plenty of beers and ciders on tap. I grabbed a blackberry cider that was fantastic before we dove into some pulled pork tacos, cornbread, and burgers and sat by one of their many firepits they had going throughout the night.

To close out the evening, Stone Cow set out some industrial-strength fireworks out in one of their fields, which resulted in some great photos and videos as we watched from where we had parked our cars. It was such a treat!

I’m heading to Maryland in a couple of days for a quick weekend getaway to meet up with friends and to enjoy one of the last outdoor music festivals of the 2024 season, but I’m going to be sharing some of my favorite things from this past month before I hit the road and before we start getting ready for October!

See you all then!
