A Few of My Favorite Things: June 2024

Although my full recap and rewind of June 2024 will be up on ‘Coffee & Chiffon‘ by the end of this week and right before we cannonball ourselves into July – it’s worth mentioning now that I can’t believe the month is almost over! It’s been SO busy and filled with travel to both new and longtime beloved destinations, cherished time with friends and family, great Summertime food that makes living in New England all the more special this time of year – and long overdue consultations and care that will have such a wonderful impact on my health and confidence.

But before I revisit all the memorable moments this month had to offer, I’ve got to talk about a few of my favorite finds, purchases, gifts, etc., that have helped make June a little more relaxing and comfortable – even as I was going, going, going non-stop most of the time!

It’s a small assortment this month – and I anticipate July’s collection may be significantly more packed since we’re going into the height of the Summer season – but it’s still mighty nonetheless!

Let’s take a look!

Earlier this month, I had visited Lavender Pond Farm in Connecticut where I grabbed a few gifts for loved ones while taking in the scenery and the relaxing scent of lavender in every direction. While the bulk of my purchases had been for others, I still treated myself to some of the farm’s infused lemonade while I was there, and also invested in this small lavender-scented satchel for my apartment.

This palm-sized satchel has helped transform my bedside drawer/table (and my bedroom in its entirety when I leave it out!) into a relaxing and tranquil destination whenever I come home after a long day at work or out in the sun. The oil sewn into the satchel is strong, but not overpowering- and it’s helped me rest so much easier when I keep it close by my pillows at night!

Also, the stitching/pattern on the fabric is adorable – which is just a bonus!

We’re just coming off of what was a lengthy and often overwhelming heat wave here in New England, which temperatures creeping into triple digits in some areas – and staying cool is not only mandatory for comfort – but also for safety, too. Concerned that my box fans and air conditioning may not be enough to keep me from overheating, Troy ordered me this rechargeable and bladeless neck fan by CIVPOWER earlier this month – and it’s been a game changer!

This fan (in a powder blue color he let me pick prior to purchasing it!) sits comfortably around my neck and shoulders, has vents all over that provide consistent airflow with three speed/strength settings, lasts for hours, and is super easy to recharge in no time at all when the battery gets low.

I’ve been taking this one with me everywhere – in my car, to work, at home when I’m lounging, etc. I cannot imagine spending a Summer without one moving forward!

Finally, and this might be one of the most random additions to a “Favorite Things” post in quite some time, but I’m obsessed with these dryer sheets from Downy I purchased on a whim earlier this month while doing an apartment restock. They do the usual amount of heavy lifting that dryer sheets are supposed to in terms of fabric softening and both static & wrinkle reducing – but the scent can only be described as the best parts of the beach.

They smell super pretty, and I love tossing my sheets and pillowcases into the dryer with a couple of these every week when it comes time to tidy up and reset for a much-needed refresh.

And that’s it for this June’s collection of favorites! As we head into July and I get back into the swing of seeing movies, checking out new music and gaming options following my planned surgery and subsequent recovery – I’m sure I’ll have more to share by the end of next month – but I’m definitely taking the things I shared above with me into the next few weeks, too!
