A Month to Remember: May 2024

When I was first going into May, I knew it was going to be a busy month. I knew I had a lot of things to get done at my full-time job, had a lot of travel planned and a lot of events to attend- and I was looking forward to (and very excited about) all of it!

And now that the month is winding down, I’m going through my calendar and noting my planner with things coming up in June – it feels nice to just have a moment to pause, take a breath, and look back on what a fun whirlwind this past month has been for me.

I had started May 2024 off with the usual late-Spring stuff- like a peek into one of my new favorite floral outfits, my seasonal skin/hair care collection, and a refreshing beverage recipe inspired by the hotter, sunnier days that were in abundance throughout this month- but shortly after things had kicked off, I was stumbling onto historic landmarks while enroute to check out one of the prettiest and most colorful cafés in Massachusetts.

I spent Mother’s Day (and the days leading up to it) with great food right here in the Pioneer Valley, which my mom always appreciates- before I headed up to New Hampshire to celebrate the seasonal reopening of my favorite beachside bar and smoothie stand.

I shared more recipes, outfits, and a look inside my “Festival Fanny Pack” as May progressed and as I prepared to travel into the city for Boston Calling, and I made sure to grab a scoop of ice cream around the corner from my apartment before it was time to head out for some live music and an extended Memorial Day Weekend.

And although I’m so excited to provide a full recap of Boston Calling, my Memorial Day in Maine, and a surprise and small Killers show in Boston I was fortunate enough to attend this past Saturday night- I’m going to save that write-up for early next week so I can finish going through the many, many photos I took!

By then, we’ll have kicked off June! So, what else do I have planned? A few more beach days and backyard BBQs, for sure! I’m also looking forward to sharing some more early-Summertime recipes and outfits, along with a few more local businesses and scenic stops that I particularly love to frequent this time of year.

Overall, May was absolutely magical and filled with great music, quality time with some of the people I love the most in this world, good food and even better weather- and I’m hoping that June is just as fun, silly, and packed with plenty of spontaneous adventures, as well! I want to keep the momentum going!

See you all next week!
