Every once in a while, something will come across my social media feeds that will stop me in my tracks- be it an incredible looking recipe/dish, a miracle makeup product, a travel destination or a local business I’d never heard of before. Such was the case leading up to this past weekend, when I saw a collection of photos/video clips from La Dolce Vita, an absolutely gorgeous café and ice cream/dessert parlor in Georgetown, Massachusetts.
With handcrafted and elaborate milkshakes, sundaes, tea party platters, lattes and lemonades- all served within the most beautiful, sparkly and pink interior- this little shop was the perfect destination and “getaway” for what had turned into a rainy and somewhat chilly Spring afternoon.
I’d had an iced coffee shortly before my arrival and didn’t want to overdo it with the caffeine and sugar, so I opted for an order of their chicken coxinha and strawberry lemonade- but the staff (who were all so lovely!) made sure to make it just as pretty as some of their other treats so that I could get a couple of cute photos while I was there. The cotton candy on top of my lemonade? Delicious!
I’m looking forward to going back soon so that I can satisfy my sweet tooth and get an over-the-top sundae- and I recommend popping in during the morning hours or after the lunchtime rush since it can get busy pretty fast- but it was absolutely worth the drive for the aesthetic alone.
The food and beverages being amazing is just a bonus!
