Although my schedule has been all over the map in recent weeks with work and company that has been staying through the remainder of the month and into the beginning of March, I did make plans with Dan this past weekend to head out to North Adams so that we could meet up and grab dinner with our friend, Jenna – who I haven’t seen since her and I celebrated Dan’s birthday together in Troy, New York back in April of 2022!
And my goodness, how I’ve missed her!
North Adams is the halfway point between where Jenna and Dan & I live, and given we’re all familiar with the area since we’ve all been multiple times to places like MASS MoCA, PUBLIC Eat+Drink, etc., we opted to meet up for all the food and drinks at another one of my favorite places in town – Freight Yard Pub. I’ve definitely mentioned it here on the blog before!
Dan and I got into town a little early, and opted to do a quick photo shoot around the outdoors courtyards and public accessways in and around MASS MoCA (and I’ll post those photos later on this week!) but I was beside myself with how pretty the museum grounds looked after the most recent snowfall we had here in New England. There’s something about old mill buildings/factories, string lights and fresh-fallen snow that just makes me so happy to live here.
Once Jenna arrived, it was all about spiked lemonades, sea scallops and strawberry desserts – all while catching up on our lives and laughing hysterically for hours. It was like no time had passed at all since I last saw her! I’m so excited to spend more time with her in the coming months since our schedules look like they may be aligning in really big and fun ways.
If only every weekend could be so wonderful as this past one was!
