Tiki Drinks and Tidying Up…

It’s a late-afternoon post here at ‘Coffee & Chiffon’ which can only mean one thing – your girl is busy, busy, busy! Between an uptick in my caseload at work this week, accommodating my space and schedule for Troy as his extended stay continues here in New England, and trying to stay on top of all the tasks/errands that always seem to pile up when I’m already stretched pretty thin- this week has been a blur! I actually had to double check to confirm it was already Wednesday before a scheduled meeting this morning!

That’s not to say I’m not having fun in-between the chaos and pandemonium, of course. This past weekend was a blast- spent with good friends, great music, and the best tropical drinks at one of my favorite bars around!

On Saturday night, Dan and I bundled up and braved the cold to check out his friend Chelsie’s performance with her band at The Parlor Room in Northampton. It’s a great and intimate venue that have boasted some incredible acts and headliners over the past few years and I was glad we were able to find stage-side seats to enjoy ourselves. The show was great, and Chelsie is so, so talented!

After the performance, we made our way to Easthampton to visit Gigantic (our favorite bar!) as they recently kicked off their month-long, Tiki-themed event, “Escape The Northeast.” I’ve definitely written about it in the past here on the blog, and it was just as wild, fun and delicious as always! Dan even got me a commemorative glass to celebrate!

I’m looking forward to heading back soon- maybe even this coming weekend if I’m lucky!

I’m also looking forward to catching up on some much-needed sleep tonight before I wrap up the next couple of days and prepare for the weekend- including the Super Bowl! I’m going to be making all the snacks (and will have one of my favorite recipes to share next week!)
