With Valentine’s Day approaching (and Galentines Day, too!) the countdown is on to find some cute, fun and/or sentimental gifts for my girlfriends, my mom – as is tradition! – and of course my significant other. While I’ve got some ideas for the little gift bags I’m putting together for some of the ladies in my life and am planning a multi-course homecooked meal for Troy while he’s staying with me for the next few weeks- my mom has always loved bouquets of fresh flowers for any and all occasions. Or even for no occasion at all!
So this past weekend I made it a point to stop by a florist and greenhouse that I drive by frequently on my way to/from my office to check out their selection of floral arrangements since their storefront is always so adorable – and I immediately fell in love!
Macmannis Florist & Greenhouses in Athol, Massachusetts has been around since 1964 and is conveniently located right off of Main Street/Route 2A. They have a wide array of pre-assembled bouquets/arrangements, single stem flowers that can be selected individually and put together into a bouquet on-site, cacti and succulents, hanging plants and both vases and display stands for your greenery that are available for purchase at reasonable prices. Everything is fresh and beautifully blooming- so you can walk out with an absolutely gorgeous gift for your loved one!
I picked out some red roses and baby’s breath for my mom, which were wrapped up so pretty by the absolutely wonderful, friendly, and knowledgeable saleswoman who assisted me – and I also treated myself to a succulent for my apartment – because gifting yourself things for Valentine’s Day is perfectly fine, too!
I actually fully plan on gifting myself a box of chocolates at some point in the coming days, as well.
