I cannot believe that we’re already saying farewell to November. Sure, I may have started decorating for the holidays a little early this month and yes, I’m currently listening to a Bing Crosby & Frank Sinatra Christmas playlist as I write this, but still! November came and went in a flash and it deserves a proper post as a send off before we dive headfirst into all of the chaotically busy things that come with the holidays, shopping, traveling and planning for New Year’s Eve. Buckle up, everyone- these next few weeks are going to be wild!
I hit the ground running on November 1st, having touched down from a return flight home from Maryland and immediately heading into Cambridge to see a live set from one of my favorite bands (and yes, I had to work the next morning.) When the first full weekend of November arrived and I could finally catch up on some sleep, I eased back into more local travel and seasonal celebrations with day trips to places like Vermont and Boston’s ‘Snowport’ holiday pop-up.
When I wasn’t writing about some of my post-Halloween-pre-Christmas fashion pieces or cooking up Thanksgiving appetizer recipes the whole family would love, I was sharing my seasonal skin/hair care products and talking about one of the most beautifully decorated Italian restaurants in Norfolk County.
Right before Thanksgiving, I talked candidly about the things I’m grateful for and finding the silver lining when it came to setbacks in my passion for my profession and unexpected financial woes. And while I intend to share a full recap of my long holiday weekend, including boarding the most beautiful Christmas train in the Berkshires and seeing an incredible musical version of a classic Christmas tale in Pennsylvania- ending this post on a note of thankfulness seems most fitting.
I’m thankful for November, as I am all months out of the year, and am looking forward to navigating through December- even though I know it’s going to be extraordinarily packed with plans, gatherings, and errands. There’s still so much shopping, baking and finding ugly-Christmas-Sweaters to do!
So here’s to November, and may our December be just as blessed and full of dearest family and friends!
