Earlier this week, I wrote about stopping by the “Snowport” Holiday Pop-Up in Boston’s Seaport District over the weekend, but that wasn’t the only seasonal destination on my to-do and must-visit list while I was in the area. To wrap up a truly fun and festive day- my friends and I made sure to grab a late lunch/early dinner at The Venetian in Weymouth.
Not to be confused with the popular Las Vegas hotel and casino of the same name, The Venetian is a family owned and operated Italian restaurant nestled alongside Broad Street. They’re renowned for their in-house freshly made pasta and an extensive wine list- all at reasonable prices!- but we need to talk about their décor. We NEED to.
Happening right now through January 31st, The Venetian has their own holiday pop-up going on. Sure, there are specialty cocktails for the season that are as delicious as they are pretty to look at- but they have completely transformed their restaurant into a Winter Wonderland with decorations everywhere- all the way up to the ceiling- which is covered in beautiful ornaments and garland!
It is so unbelievably cool looking, and makes for a truly cozy atmosphere while you eat. They softly play classic Christmas music that doesn’t drown out any conversations you’re having over your meal- and you’re more than welcome to take as many photos around the place as you want.
And believe me, we sure did!
The food was excellent (I highly recommend the carbonara!), the service was fast and friendly- and there’s plenty of parking in their lot or on the nearby street. I will absolutely be going back soon- especially because everyone I showed my pictures to wants to see it in person before the end of the holiday season!
