Happy Halloween Eve and Greetings from Maryland, everyone! I’m spending the next couple of days here with Andrew and the kids to celebrate Halloween, and ring in both the beginning of November and the official holiday season before it’s time to fly back to Massachusetts and get ready for a very, very busy few weeks ahead. It’s that time of year again!
What an absolutely incredible month this has been, and I can’t believe it’s almost over. I started October in San Diego, where I was beginning an extended stay in Southern California and visiting friends while adjusting to the way they celebrate Halloween when it’s consistently warm and sunny all through the season. This included stops at haunted garden centers (and a famous cemetery in Hollywood,) spooky themed Tiki bars, and revisiting the ghosts of my teenage self when I got to see The Postal Service & Death Cab For Cutie perform live.
My trip also saw me discovering what has quickly become my new favorite coffee shop on the West Coast and getting to live my best ‘Pee Wee’s Big Adventure’ life with an unexpected stop in the desert before it was time to eventually head back home to the Northeast.
And no sooner had I returned to New England when I was heading out on inaugural Jack-O-Lantern trails and picking up pumpkins at one of the sweetest and coziest little farm stands in Connecticut. And this was all in-between sharing more Autumnal-inspired recipes, outfits, and my Fall Makeup Collection.
And now here I am, putting the final touches on a ‘Star Wars’ costume for Trick-Or-Treating tomorrow night (there will be lots of pictures, don’t worry!) and beginning the list of things I’ve got lined up for November- which includes some early holiday festivities/events, more New England-centric travel, and plenty more things I’m cooking/baking up, wearing, and buying as gifts for my loved ones…
… And maybe buying for myself, too!
See you all in November, and Happy Halloween!
