OOTD: CozyCore…

When I returned home from my brief trip to New Jersey earlier this week, it was like leaving Summer at the Shore behind me in my rearview and finally entering the true ‘New England Autumn’ aesthetic head-on as soon as I crossed state lines. While my time in Asbury Park had been filled with sunshine, warm temperatures and a lot of sand in my sneakers- my first day back in Western Massachusetts was crisp, a little chilly, and dotted with on/off rainstorms.

It was the perfect day to break in a new pair of brown, faux-leather boots I had recently picked up and was saving for the appropriate weather to crunch leaves while keeping my toes dry, as well as giving into the ongoing bodysuit trend- specifically with this super soft, ribbed, fitted one from OQQ. With long sleeves and enough stretch to help me move around comfortably without restrictions or worrying I was going to show more skin than I was secure with- I knew right away that I needed to get a few more of these in different styles/colors (and will be ordering some before I head to California next week!)

And since olive green is one of my favorite colors year-round, I covered the bottom portion of the bodysuit with this knee-length skirt from Lock and Love Clothing Co. which is also very, very soft and cozy. It also has some flow to it- which means you can pull off a good twirl from time to time. I know, because I did it a whole bunch during the day!

I met up with Dan to snap some photos of the perfect Fall day and grab some dinner together since it feels like ages since we last saw one another, which included a stop at the best place to be when it rains- the Montague Bookmill. What better backdrop for some ‘Cottagecore/Cozycore’ photos than a very old mill filled from the floor to the ceiling with any and every kind of book you can imagine? The only thing missing were pumpkins!

I simply love this outfit and I love this weather, which is set to return during the upcoming weekend. I don’t want to say it’s quite “Sweater Weather” just yet, but as of tomorrow its officially Fall- so it is very, very close!
