A Few of My Favorite Things: July 2023

I had made a promise to myself that no matter how tempting it was, my July “Favorite Things” post would not be all Barbie-related items despite my love of the movie, it’s marketing and any and all things pink. That’s not to say I didn’t indulge in a lot of fuchsia-hued everything, of course. The majority of my clothing and accessories have looked like something straight out of the Malibu Dreamhouse this month- but I managed to narrow down my selection of items to share to just a handful of delightful finds and gifts!

That’s right, it’s time for my round-up of the products, promotions and pleasures that have made this past month so wonderful despite crazy weather and scorching temperatures across the board, all leading up to my full recap of these past few weeks as we get ready to head into August in a matter of days.

Most of you who have read this blog for any length of time know how this goes. I share the photogenic items before I get into some miscellaneous odds & ends- and as always I appreciate recommendations or suggestions on things to try out for the next month, too!

So without further delay, let’s get right into it!

I’ve seen bloggers and all sorts of people across social media rave about this probiotic underarm toner/refresher spray by Bella Skin Beauty for over a year now, and I’d always meant to try it but never got around to it until earlier this month when I decided to give it a shot- grabbing both the watermelon and mango fragrances to get me through a sleeveless Summer in a never ending heat wave,

And I am kicking myself for not buying these sooner! These lightweight and hydrating formulas are meant to be applied before deodorant in order to make it last longer and keep you feeling squeaky clean for an extended period of time- but they can also be used throughout the day for quick refreshers as needed. I’ve discovered that my underarms feel super smooth and dry from morning through night- and my deodorant definitely has staying power!

Bella Skin Beauty also offers Spearmint and Vanilla options- but I’ve been obsessed with these tropical scents this season!

Something else that’s been helping me through the heat? These hydration packs from CorVive– which I talked about earlier this month when I teamed up with them to promote their single-serve electrolyte packets that are perfect for on-the-go.

I still use these packets regularly, whether I’m hitting the road or wrapping up a work-out at the gym. They make my water taste great and give me an extra boost of replenishment when I need it the most without any chalky textures or weird after-taste. The sour apple and pomegranate flavors are still my go-to!

Another collaboration from this past month that is still keeping me fed and satisfied are the variety of treats I received from 88 Acres! I’m only just now running low on my bars and butters/spreads, and am feverishly stocking up on more before the end of the month.

Everything remains so crave-worthy and so delicious- and I always feel like I’m doing something nice for myself while eating something genuinely healthy whenever I unwrap their products at breakfast, lunch or throughout my afternoon when I need a pick-me-up!

And finally, nothing helps on hot days like a rich and sheer lip balm that does all the work for me. This moisturizing, subtly sparkly balm by Mischo Beauty, a vegan company that formulates clean products- softens and plumps up my lips while adapting to my natural pH levels to develop into the perfect pink for my complexion.

This has been in my purse throughout the entire month of July when I’m coming and going from work, meetings or racing to get together with friends where I just want a little pop of color and shine without the fuss. I love it!

And while that may be all for the things I could snap pictures of this month, a couple of other things made the list, too!

– MOVIES/MUSIC/TELEVISION –

‘Barbie’ & ‘Oppenheimer’ – I recently shared my truncated reviews on both of these movies, but they are so worth mentioning here (again) just how much I enjoyed them and how I’d absolutely see either one of them in the theaters again with no hesitation! I’m excited to see the nominees and then the winners next awards season given the performances everyone brought to the table. It’s hard to pick a favorite!

Okay, NOW my July “Favorite Things” are wrapped up! I couldn’t leave Barbenheimer out!

See you all next week!
